Countdown to the conference:
Welcome to the Humboldt Kolleg "Technological Impacts: Benefits and Challenges"
On behalf of the President of the Clube Humboldt do Brasil, Prof. Dr. Mônica Santos de Freitas, and the Organizing Committee of the Humboldt Kolleg entitled "Technological Impacts: Benefits and Challenges", it is a great pleasure to announce the upcoming Humboldt Kolleg meeting that will take place in Rio de Janeiro from 28 to 30 April 2026.
The purpose of this meeting is to strengthen the network among Humboldtians, researchers, and students from Brazil and abroad across different areas of knowledge. The emphasis on the effects of technology across different aspects of life was deliberately chosen to improve a discussion of a very important current theme that impacts our daily lives.
The talks will cover life sciences, philosophy, economics, and ethics, and will be presented by junior researchers, experienced researchers, and professors from different countries around the world: Argentina, Brazil, Germany, and also from different fields (e.g., biochemistry, biophysics, mathematics, pharmacology, cell biology, and neuroscience).
For Humboldtians, this Humboldt Kolleg is an ideal opportunity to meet and strengthen the network. For professors, researchers, and junior researchers, it will also be an opportunity to learn more about the sponsorship programs offered by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (AvH) and the DAAD, and to explore the DFG's options.
It will be an ideal opportunity to experience the nice atmosphere promoted by the Humboldtians.
We look forward to welcoming you to Rio de Janeiro.
